Instructions for use:

Nook eReaders

Getting Started with Axis360

Required Set-Up:___________________________________________________

  • Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) program loaded on your computer to transfer eBooks to your Nook. If you have not already done so, You can download this from www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions.html. Click "Download Now" in the upper right side of the page.
    Note: If you have accidentally loaded two versions of this software on your device, you will receive a message/pop-up telling you there is a license server error. Please check the Adobe forum for more information.

  • You will also need to authorize your computer and your eBook reader with a free Adobe ID (you will be given a link to click on after you have installed Adobe Digital Editions)

  • Open a browser window on you computer and navigate to http://lsofbc.axis360.baker-taylor.com

  • Click "login" and create an account. This requires a library card number, PIN, username, and email address.

Checkout Instructions:_______________________________________________

  • Using a browser window on your computer, navigate to http://lsofbc.axis360.baker-taylor.com

  • Find a book to check out, select ePub or PDF (not Blio), and click the "Add to Checkout List" button. (clicking "Checkout Now" defaults to a 10-day checkout period.)

  • When ready to check out, click the shopping cart icon labeled "My Checkout List" at the top of the screen

  • Adjust the slider to your desired checkout period - choose from 3 to 10 days - and scroll down to the bottom of the screen to click "Confirm Checkout"

  • You will see a pop-up window confirming your successful checkout. Click "OK."

  • In your checkout list of Items On Loan, you will see your book listed and a "Download" link below the synopsis and vest to where it says Format: ePub (or PDF). Click the link.

  • Adobe Digital Editions should automatically know to open, and you will see your book listed on the main Library home screen. Plug in your Nook, and it will appear under "Devices." Drag and drop the cover image of the book from the Library home screen onto your Nook and wait a moment for the transfer to complete.

  • When it's complete, safely eject your Nook from your computer. To read your book click the Nav button and tap "Library," then choose "My Stuff" (Nook Color) or "My Files" (Nook Simple Touch), and then select the "Digital Editions" folder. Tap your book's cover to open and read it.
